Repeater Batch for Competitive Exams

If you have already attempted the exam once or twice, the last thing you need is to sit through the same concept classes a third time. You know what a quadratic equation is. You know the syllogism rules. What you do not know — and what nobody has told you — is the specific reason you finished five marks under the cut-off.

That is what a repeater batch is for. It starts from your last attempt, not from chapter one.

How It Is Different From a Fresher Batch

Fresher batch Repeater batch
Starting point Concepts from the base Diagnosis of your last attempt
Bulk of the time Teaching new topics Timed practice and mock analysis
Concept classes All topics, in sequence Only the topics your data says are weak
Pace Set by the syllabus Set by how far you already are
Typical duration 8–12 months 3–5 months

It Starts With a Diagnosis

Before you enrol we put you through a full-length mock and go through the result with you properly. Not the score — the structure underneath it:

  • Which bucket are your lost marks in? Questions you knew and got wrong, or questions you never knew? These need completely different fixes, and most repeaters assume it is the second when it is usually the first.
  • Where did your time go? A question solved correctly in four minutes cost you two others. Repeaters who stall are very often accurate and slow, not inaccurate.
  • Which section is dragging? With sectional cut-offs, one weak section sinks an otherwise qualifying paper. Usually it is the one you have been quietly avoiding.
  • Was it selection or knowledge? In DILR, puzzles and data interpretation, picking the wrong set to attempt loses more marks than not knowing the method.

That diagnosis becomes your plan. Someone losing marks to careless errors in quant needs drilling, not teaching. Someone whose General Awareness is thin needs a daily habit, not a class. Treating both the same is why a second attempt often scores the same as the first.

What the Batch Actually Contains

  • Targeted concept revision — only the chapters your diagnosis flags, taught properly rather than skimmed.
  • Heavy timed practice — sectional tests on your weak areas until speed becomes automatic.
  • Full-length mocks with structured analysis — and the discipline of analysing each one before attempting the next. Three well-analysed mocks beat fifteen unanalysed ones.
  • Attempt strategy — a fixed plan for section order, time budget per section and when to abandon a question. For most repeaters this alone is worth more than any new topic.
  • Previous year papers in test mode, which remains the single most underrated resource in every one of these exams.
  • Mains and interview preparation started early, not after the prelims result.

Available For

Banking and Insurance, SSC, Railway, Defence including SSB-only modules, and MBA and Law entrance. Batch availability depends on the exam cycle, so confirm the current schedule for your exam.

If you cleared the written stage but not the interview or SSB, those modules can be taken on their own.

An Honest Word

Sometimes the diagnosis says something uncomfortable — that you are preparing for the wrong exam, or that a fourth attempt at the same paper is a worse plan than switching to one that suits how you actually work. We will tell you that. It is more useful than selling you another year.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the repeater batch?

Typically three to five months, depending on how far along you already are and how close the next notification is.

Do I have to sit through concept classes again?

Only for the topics your diagnostic mock flags as weak. The rest of the time goes into timed practice and mock analysis.

Can I join if I prepared at another institute?

Yes. A large share of repeater students do. We start from your last attempt, not from where you studied.

I cleared prelims but failed mains. Can I join just for mains?

Yes. Mains-only and interview-only modules are available for candidates who have already cleared the earlier stage.

Is the fee different from the full course?

Repeater batches are shorter, so the structure differs. Ask during counselling for the exact figure for your exam.

What if I have attempted three or four times already?

Then the diagnosis matters more, not less. Come in for the diagnostic mock and we will be straight with you about whether another attempt at this exam is the right move.
