Frequently Asked Questions

Where are D.I.C.E. Institute’s centres?

Thane, Dadar and Borivali. All three are a short walk from the railway station — Thane near Thane station in Naupada, Dadar near Dadar station in Dadar West, and Borivali near Borivali station in Borivali West. Exact addresses are on the contact page.

Which exams do you coach for?

Banking and Insurance, SSC, Railway, Defence, MBA entrance, Law entrance, UGC NET, IELTS and school-level entrance exams such as Sainik School, RMS, RIMC and JNVST. The full list is on our courses page.

Do you offer online classes?

Yes. Online batches run live on a fixed timetable with recorded backup, and use the same faculty, syllabus and test series as the classroom batches.

Do you have batches for working professionals?

Yes — weekend batches with longer Saturday and Sunday sessions and a weekday practice plan built to survive a bad week at work.

Is the demo class really free?

Yes. You attend a real running class with no fee and no obligation to enrol. Book a free demo class.

What are the fees?

Fees vary by exam, course length and batch format, so we do not publish a single figure that would be wrong for most people. Ask during counselling and you will get the exact number for your course, what it includes, and the payment options.

Is there an entrance test to join?

No. Anyone meeting the basic qualification for the course can enrol. See the admission process.

Can I join in the middle of a running batch?

Often yes, depending on how far the batch has progressed. We will tell you honestly whether it makes sense or whether you should start with the test series and wait for the next batch.

What does the test series include?

Sectional tests after each topic, full-length mocks on a real exam interface, and previous year papers — all with instant results, detailed solutions, All India Rank, State Rank and topic-wise accuracy and timing. Details on the test series page.

Can I take the test series without joining a coaching batch?

Yes, it is available as a standalone course for self-study aspirants.

I am from a Marathi or Hindi medium background. Will I cope with English?

Yes. Concept classes are taught bilingually where needed, and English has a separate grammar foundation track that starts from the base rather than assuming it.

Which exam should I choose — banking or SSC?

Broadly: SSC if you are strong at conceptual mathematics and static general knowledge and want a government department posting; banking if you are fast at calculation, comfortable with English, and want more attempts per year. We go through it in detail in SSC CGL vs Bank PO.

How long does preparation usually take?

Six to eight months for a focused banking attempt, eight to twelve for SSC CGL, ten to twelve for CAT. Repeaters who have already cleared a prelims often need far less.

Do you help with the SSB or bank interview?

Yes. Defence courses include full SSB and AFSB training — psychological tests, group tasks and personal interview. Banking courses include mock interviews once results are out.

Do you have courses for school students?

Yes — Sainik School, RMS, RIMC and JNVST, taught at a pace suited to Class 5 to Class 9 students.

What happens if I miss classes?

Sessions are recorded, so a missed class is recoverable. Missing several weeks in a row is not, and we will say so rather than let you drift quietly.

Where can I check exam dates and notifications?

Our notifications page carries the latest application windows and eligibility updates. Always confirm against the official notification before applying.

Who teaches at D.I.C.E. Institute?

Subject specialists who teach the same exam every cycle, under founder Mukesh Tiwari Sir. See faculty and mentors.
