Admission Process

Joining a coaching institute should take one visit and one honest conversation. At D.I.C.E. Institute there is no entrance test to clear, no waiting list to join and no pressure to enrol on the day you walk in.

The Four Steps

  1. Talk to us about which exam you are actually targeting. This is the step most students skip and most regret. A graduate who is strong at mathematics but nervous in interviews should probably be looking at SSC CGL rather than Bank PO. Someone who needs a job within a year is better served by banking, which runs several recruitment cycles annually. We will tell you what we think, including when the exam you have picked is the wrong fit.
  2. Attend a free demo class. A real, running session with the faculty who would teach you — not a staged presentation. Free, with no obligation.
  3. Check the batch schedule and fees. Batch timings, start date, duration, what the fee includes and the payment options are all explained before you commit to anything.
  4. Complete the enrolment. Fill the admission form, submit the documents listed below, pay the fee, and collect your study material and test series login.

What You Need to Bring

  • Photo identity proof — Aadhaar, PAN or passport
  • Proof of your highest qualification — marksheet or degree certificate
  • Passport-size photographs
  • Caste or category certificate, if you intend to apply under a reserved category

School students joining Sainik School, RMS, RIMC or JNVST courses should bring their latest school report card and be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Eligibility in Brief

Course group Who can join
Banking, SSC CGL, Railway NTPC, UGC NET Graduates and final-year students
SSC CHSL Class 12 passed
SSC MTS, Railway Group D Class 10 passed

Coaching eligibility is not the same as exam eligibility. Age limits, attempt limits and category relaxations are set by the recruiting body and change each cycle — always check the current exam notification before you apply.

When to Join

New batches start through the year, timed against each exam’s notification calendar rather than the academic year. In practice this means the best time to join is eight to ten months before your target exam, which for most banking and SSC aspirants means joining well before the notification is announced — not after it, when everyone else does.

Mid-batch joining is often possible. We will tell you honestly whether joining a running batch makes sense for you or whether you are better off starting with the test series and waiting for the next batch.

Choosing a Format

Classroom batches run at Thane, Dadar and Borivali, each near the railway station. If travel or work makes weekday classes difficult, look at weekend batches or online coaching — the syllabus, faculty and test series are the same in all three formats, and you can switch later without restarting.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there an entrance test to join?

No. Anyone meeting the basic qualification for the course can enrol.

Can I pay the fee in instalments?

Payment options vary by course and batch. Ask during the counselling conversation — we would rather discuss it openly than have you drop out midway.

Can I join in the middle of a running batch?

Usually yes, depending on how far the batch has progressed. We will give you a straight answer rather than take the admission regardless.

Do you offer any fee concession?

Concessions depend on the course and the current batch. Please ask directly — it is a fair question and we are not offended by it.

What if I enrol and then realise I picked the wrong exam?

Tell us early. Switching to a different course within the same category is usually workable, and it is far better than finishing a year of preparation for an exam you did not want.

Do I have to decide on the day of the demo class?

No. Take the information home, compare it with other institutes, and decide in your own time.
