MBA and Law entrance exams are not knowledge tests — they are decision-making tests under time pressure. Sectional cut-offs mean you cannot rescue a weak section with a strong one, and every one of these papers now has a section that most aspirants quietly avoid. Our MBA and Law entrance coaching in Thane is built to remove that weak section, not work around it.
MBA Entrance Exams
CAT
Three sections — VARC, DILR and Quantitative Ability — with individual sectional timing and no going back. DILR is the section that decides most CAT percentiles, so set selection and the discipline of walking away from an unsolvable set get dedicated class time.
MH CET MBA
The most important exam for Maharashtra aspirants targeting JBIMS, SIMSREE, PUMBA and the Mumbai and Pune institutes. 200 questions in 150 minutes, no negative marking — which makes MH CET a speed and attempt-count exam, played completely differently from CAT. Abstract Reasoning, which appears in no other major MBA paper, gets its own module.
NMAT
Sectional time limits, a self-scheduled window and up to three attempts with the best score counting. That changes the strategy entirely — we plan the attempt calendar with you, not just the syllabus.
XAT
Decision Making is unique to XAT and cannot be prepared with CAT material. We cover it separately, along with the General Knowledge section and the essay.
SAT
For students targeting undergraduate admission abroad or at Indian universities accepting SAT scores — digital adaptive format, Reading and Writing plus Maths.
Law Entrance Exams
CLAT
The comprehension-based format means CLAT is now essentially a reading test wearing five different hats — English, Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Techniques all arrive as passages. Reading speed with retention is the core skill we build, alongside legal principle application.
MH CET Law
Both the 3-year and 5-year LLB entries, covering Legal Aptitude, General Knowledge, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, English and Basic Mathematics — with the Maharashtra-specific current affairs that CLAT material does not cover.
How We Teach
Concept classes build the base in Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation. From there the work becomes almost entirely mock-driven: a full-length paper, then a solution and strategy session where we look at attempt order, time spent per question and which questions you should have skipped. Percentile improvement in MBA entrances comes far more from better selection than from more syllabus. Group discussion and personal interview preparation follows once results are out.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I prepare for CAT and MH CET MBA together?
Yes, and most Maharashtra aspirants should. The quant and verbal base is shared. What differs is strategy — CAT rewards selective accuracy, MH CET rewards volume with no negative marking, and Abstract Reasoning needs separate practice.
When should I start preparing for CAT?
Ten to twelve months before the exam is comfortable for a working professional or a final-year student. Six months is workable if your quantitative base is already sound.
Do I need a legal background for CLAT?
No. Legal Reasoning in CLAT tests whether you can apply a principle given in the passage, not whether you have memorised law. Reading ability matters far more than any prior legal knowledge.
Which colleges accept MH CET MBA scores?
JBIMS, SIMSREE, PUMBA, K J Somaiya, Welingkar and the wider set of Maharashtra MBA and MMS institutes through the state CAP process.
Do you offer weekend batches for working professionals?
Yes. CAT, NMAT and XAT batches run on weekends and in the evening, with an online option for students who cannot travel to Thane, Dadar or Borivali.
Entrance-exam students frequently ask what else is worth attempting in the same cycle. Our page on competitive exam classes in Thane covers the government exam options that pair well with a CAT or CLAT attempt.
Both tracks also run from our central Mumbai classroom: CAT entrance coaching in Dadar for management aspirants, and CLAT preparation in Dadar for students targeting the National Law Universities.
