Defence entrance exams are the only competitive exams where the written paper is barely half the job. The SSB interview, the medical and the physical standards eliminate more candidates than the written stage does. Our defence coaching in Thane prepares students for the full pipeline — written, SSB and personality development — across NDA, CDS, Territorial Army and the school-level defence entrances.

What the Course Covers
Written Examination
For NDA, Mathematics carries 300 marks against 600 for the General Ability Test — but GAT is where most candidates actually lose the paper, because English and General Knowledge are treated as afterthoughts. We give both equal classroom time. CDS aspirants get separate modules for English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics, with OTA candidates following a shortened track since Maths is not part of their paper.
SSB Interview Preparation
This is where most defence coaching stops and where selection actually begins. Our SSB module covers the screening stage with OIR tests and Picture Perception, then Psychological tests including TAT, WAT, SRT and the Self Description, followed by Group Testing Officer tasks — group discussion, group planning, progressive group task, command task and the lecturette — and finally the Personal Interview. Students get mock SSB sessions with structured feedback rather than generic advice.
Physical and Personality Development
Guidance on the physical standards and medical requirements, plus the officer-like qualities that the assessors are actually scoring — effective intelligence, reasoning ability, organising ability, social adaptability and courage. These are trainable, and we train them.
For Sainik School, RMS and RIMC Aspirants
Younger students follow a separate track built around Mathematics, Intelligence, Language and General Knowledge at their class level, along with interview and viva practice for RIMC.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can girls apply for NDA and CDS?
Yes. Women candidates are eligible for NDA and for the OTA entry in CDS. Eligibility for specific entries changes from cycle to cycle, so always confirm against the current notification.
When should I start NDA preparation?
Ideally from Class 11, so that the Mathematics syllabus is built alongside your board preparation rather than crammed after it. Class 12 students can still make a serious first attempt with a focused six-month plan.
Do you provide SSB interview coaching separately?
Yes. Students who cleared the written stage elsewhere can join the SSB module on its own.
What is the difference between NDA and CDS?
NDA is written after Class 12 and leads to three years at the National Defence Academy followed by pre-commission training. CDS is for graduates and leads directly to IMA, INA, AFA or OTA. Both go through SSB.
Is Territorial Army a full-time job?
No. The Territorial Army is a part-time commitment, which is why it suits working professionals and self-employed candidates who want to serve alongside their civilian career.
Defence aspirants often keep a civilian exam running in parallel as a safety net. The main Thane coaching programme explains how NDA or CDS preparation can be combined with a Banking or SSC batch without overloading your week.
School students in central Mumbai often prefer the Dadar classroom for the same syllabus — see NDA exam preparation in Dadar, which covers the written papers and the SSB stage together.
